Adjudicate Referral Programme

Know someone who should have been paid by now?

If you know a contractor or subcontractor caught in a construction payment dispute, introduce them to Adjudicate. We’ll speak to them directly, understand what has happened and establish whether we can help.

You don’t need to understand adjudication.

You don’t need to explain our services.

And you don’t need to become involved in their dispute.

You make the introduction.

We’ll take it from there.

A good introduction can make a real difference.

Payment problems rarely stay contained.

An unpaid application, disputed valuation, withheld retention or unexpected deduction can quickly affect wages, suppliers, cash flow and the next project.

You may already know a business dealing with exactly that situation.

Perhaps they have mentioned that payment is overdue.

Perhaps a main contractor has suddenly challenged work that had previously been accepted.

Perhaps they simply have the feeling that something is going wrong.

You don’t have to decide whether they have an adjudication case. That’s our job.

If you think someone could benefit from speaking to us, introduce them.

How the Adjudicate Referral Programme works

1. You make the introduction

Tell us who you would like to introduce and give us enough information to make contact.

Please make sure they know you are introducing them to Adjudicate.

2. We speak to them directly

From that point, Adjudicate deals directly with the prospective client.

We will listen to what has happened, look at the circumstances of the dispute and establish the most appropriate next step.

You don’t need to sell our services, discuss our fees or explain how adjudication works.

3. We establish whether we can help

Not every payment problem should immediately become an adjudication.

We will consider the dispute, the contract, the available evidence and the commercial objective before discussing the options with the client.

4. A qualifying introduction can earn you a referral fee

If your introduction results in a qualifying appointment, you may receive a £500 referral fee (or ask for your fee to go to https://www.bandofbuilders.org/  ) , subject to the Adjudicate Referral Programme terms.

Who should you introduce?

You might know a contractor or subcontractor who:

  • has completed work but hasn’t received the payment they expected
  • is facing a disputed valuation or deduction
  • has had payment withheld
  • is dealing with a pay less notice
  • is struggling to recover retention
  • has suddenly been presented with defects allegations
  • believes the final account does not reflect the work completed
  • has been trying to resolve a payment dispute without making progress
  • is carrying the financial cost of work that has already been deliveredThey don’t need to know whether adjudication is right for them.They just need to be willing to have the conversation.

To make an introduction, pleaseprovide:

  • your name;
  • the prospective client’s name;
  • their company;
  • their telephone number and/or email address;
  • a brief description of why you believe Adjudicate may be able to help; and
  • confirmation that they have agreed to Adjudicate contacting them.

Please do not send contracts, evidence or confidential case information with the initial introduction.

You make the introduction. Adjudicate takes responsibility from there.
